SmudgeIpswich

Smudge is a very handsome black and white boy. He is ten years old and so is one of our older cats. He had been fending for himself since his owners moved house and left him behind.
He was luckily taken in by a kind neighbour when he was found hiding under a bush during the period of heavy snow.
Smudge had a very nasty eye infection which had obviously been present for a considerable time and he must have been in severe pain.
When he came into us he was immediately put on a course of antibiotics to clear the infection. He then needed an operation to correct the damage done to both his eyelids followed by another long course of antibiotic eye drops.
Our vet is very pleased at the result and as Smudge’s photos show, his eyes are fully healed and he is much happier!
Smudge is a friendly cat and loves to be made a fuss of but in view of his age he would probably not be a pet suited to young children. He would possibly be ok with another cat but we don’t know how he would react to a dog.
He has been used to the the outside and, although very happy inside in his warm bed he will need some outside space to explore.
