Support us

Please make a donation – Help us to help the cats.

As a charity, Cats Protection relies solely on the generosity and support of the public to enable us to go on caring for cats in need. Making a donation may be your way to help us, simply contact us and we will gratefully accept your kind offer.

Why donate?
A donation - no matter how great or small - will help us go on caring for the hundreds of unwanted, abandoned and stray cats that come through our doors every year.  Knowing we can rely on your support allows us to put long-term plans into action, and be confident our day-to-day costs can be met without worry.

Here's just an example of how your donation could help:

£3 will look after one cat for a night
£5 will buy a feeding bottle for an abandoned kitten
£15 will feed a rescued cat for a month
£30 will microchip a cat in case he gets lost
£65 will buy an answer machine so we don't miss vital calls
£95 will buy a cat trap to help us catch and neuter feral cats

There are several ways in which you could make a donation:

Gift Aid - If you complete a Gift Aid Declaration Form, we can reclaim the tax on any donation you make.  This means that every £1 you give is worth an additional 28p to us.

Your donation will help us care for unwanted, abandoned and stray cats until new homes are found for them.  Please contact us for further information.

Leaving a legacy to Cats protection - Another way of helping us is to remember us in your will.  Not something we like to think about, but even a small amount bequested to us can make a tremendous difference to our work.  It is important to understand that if you feel you would like to make a bequest to your local branch, you must state that it is to go to "Ipswich Branch of Cats Protection", This money will then go to your local branch to help them care for cats in your area.  Do contact us and we will be happy to explain how this works.
