Welcome to Ipswich Cats Protection - a branch run entirely by volunteers.

We are planning a cat homing day on Sat Feb 25th 2012.
St Augustines church hall 12 to 3. Please come along and meet the cats. Or if you think you could volunteer for us, come along and meet the other fosterers. See events page for this, car boot sale and belly dancing competition details.
History: the Ipswich branch of Cats Protection was formed in 2000 after working in conjunction with a neighbouring branch for ten years. Our branch has gone from strength to strength over the years, but more volunteers are alway needed.
Areas covered: We cover post code areas IP1 - IP5 & IP7 - IP11.
Fund raising: We fund raise regularly, both to raise much needed funds for the cats and to raise the profile of the branch. We run a Summer fete every August, a Christmas fete in Nov/Dec, charity nights and car boots.
And we could do so much more with more volunteers.
We have our own charity shop at 184 Bramford Lane, Ipswich, do please come and visit.
Co-op: We have our own Co-op Dividend Number- 234701.
We’d be so grateful if you used this to help boost our funds, thank you.
We have 500+ members who receive quarterly newsletter updates on the cats, to which they are welcome to contribute articles/photos etc. to. Annual membership is only £5.00 per year. Details from Heather Richards. Calls after 3pm only please to 01473 406123
The Cats: We do request a set fee of £50 for every cat or kitten. Cats Protection asks adopters for this fee when rehoming a cat. If you feel able to make a donation on top of this fee that would, of course, be gratefully received. We know times are hard, and thank you for your decision to rehome a CP cat.
For this fee, you will get a pet that is:
microchipped, vaccinated, spayed or neutered if needed, treated for fleas / worms, and blood tested for disease. Our cats are always checked over by a vet before homing, and come with one months free pet insurance. See the homing page for further details of all we do for our cats, and the attendant costs.
