How you can help

HOMING DAY on Saturday June 29th.

St Augustines church hall, Bucklesham Road, Ipswich from 12 noon to 2pm. Lots of cats to meet, coffee and cake, CP merchandise to buy.  Please help a stray or unwanted cat become a loved pet. We're so looking forward to seeing you all there, and all the cats are eagerly anticipating meeting their new owners. The excitement levels are rising....

Welcome to Ipswich Cats Protection - a branch run entirely by volunteers.
History: the Ipswich branch of Cats Protection was formed in 2000 after working in conjunction with a neighbouring branch for ten years. Our branch has gone from strength to strength over the years, but more volunteers are alway needed.

Areas covered: We cover post code areas IP1 - IP5 & IP7 - IP11.
Fund raising: We fund raise regularly, both to raise much needed funds for the cats and to raise the profile of the branch. We run a Summer fete every August, a Christmas fete in Nov/Dec, charity nights and car boot sales (see Summer dates on events page).
And we could do so much more with more volunteers.

We have our own charity shop at 184 Bramford Lane, Ipswich, do please come and visit.

  Lost + found cats:
We have so many lost and found cats on our site. Please take a look at our listings to see if you can help. They are all registered by area they were lost / found in.

Co-op: We have our own Co-op Dividend Number- 234701.
We’d be so grateful if you used this to help boost our funds, thank you.

We have 500+ members who receive quarterly newsletter updates on the cats, to which they are welcome to contribute articles/photos etc. to.  Annual membership is only £5.00 per year. Details from Heather Richards. Calls after 3pm only please to 01473 406123 .

The Cats:  We do request a set fee of £55 for every cat or kitten. Cats Protection asks adopters for this fee when rehoming a cat. If you feel able to make a donation on top of this fee that would, of course, be gratefully received. We know times are hard, and thank you for your decision to rehome a CP cat.
For this fee, you will get a pet that is:
microchipped, vaccinated, spayed or neutered if needed and treated for fleas / worms.
Our cats are always checked over by a vet before homing, and come with one months free pet insurance. See the homing page for further details of all we do for our cats, and the attendant costs.
